Nayadrishti - India’s First Bilingual Public Policy Newsletter

Nayadrishti is a first-of-its-kind bilingual public policy newsletter. Published bi-weekly on Substack in English and Malayalam, Nayadrishti takes public policy conversations into the public domain, where citizens, students, and researchers can actively engage with the issues that shape our everyday lives.

The newsletter analyses contemporary matters through the lens of public policy and economics. We explore a wide range of topics such as governance reforms, economic development, crimes against women, market regulations, and education policy. These are grounded in evidence, theory, and practical experiences. By offering content in both English and Malayalam, we aim to make complex policy ideas more accessible to a wider audience in Kerala and beyond.

At its core, Nayadrishti aspires to be a community-driven platform. Many of our articles are authored by students from our public policy classes, alongside contributions from researchers and young policy professionals across India. We see the newsletter as a space for emerging and diverse voices to question, analyse, and propose public policy ideas. The newsletter was born out of our belief that a well-informed citizenry is key to shaping better policies and building a freer society.
